The Account Manager plays a key role in leading pricing, quotation, and proposal processes for assigned accounts, ensuring competitive and strategic pricing to drive business growth. This role involves compiling data, developing pricing strategies, and preparing proposals to meet diverse customer needs, from one-time requests to multi-year agreements. Collaborating closely with Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) and internal teams, the Account Manager ensures the accuracy, approval, and timely delivery of pricing and proposals while addressing customer inquiries and negotiation outcomes. Additionally, this position requires maintaining accurate documentation of contracts, resolving order issues, and supporting long-term agreements (LTAs) to uphold seamless operations and strong client relationships. What You’ll Do
Compile the supporting data, pricing strategy, and contractual framework required to prepare pricing, develop the proposal, and any additional documentation required to meet a pricing request (one-time, short-term, multi-year, etc.). Lead the pricing, quotation, and proposal process for assigned accounts. Pull / gather pricing from internal systems and gain the necessary signoffs or approvals (if needed) to return pricing or quotes back to customers. Work within the parameters of the quotation process to recommend and establish target-selling prices and obtain necessary approvals Work closely with SAMs on assigned accounts to obtain competitive pricing, cost, and other information required to develop the selling strategy and obtain approval for the proposal Conduct monthly follow-up and reporting on the status of key quotations and proposals Share pricing back with customers and answer any questions related to prepared pricing Communicate the outcome of negotiations and ensure that contract copies are appropriately documented, approved and distributed Review quotation orders and resolve order acceptance issues. Review data for deficiencies or errors and correct any incompatibilities Enter Customer Quotes and Vendor Quotes Work internally with supporting teams, such as LTA management What You Bring
