Job Title
Business Systems Analyst - Insurance (28420) Base pay range: $50.00/hr - $60.00/hr Remote with 1 day a month onsite in Eagan, MN. Contract approved through end of 2025. Responsibilities
Serves as a conduit between customers, vendors, and the IT Solutions development team on medium to large projects, including Medicare Part D and Medicaid. Translate existing and non-existing business processes into technical requirements, including metadata profiling, understanding the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and processing ELT functions. Understand and translate CMS Medicare Part D guidance into technical requirements in collaboration with multifunctional teams. Required Skills and Experience
Communication ability to speak clearly and concisely in both verbal and written formats. Technical ability to understand and convey technical information in a simple, user-friendly manner. Proficient in SQL Server Management Studio, SQL coding, and C#. Organizational ability to gather, categorize, and prioritize information. Interpersonal ability to listen, observe, translate, and facilitate discussions with upper management and across multiple functional teams. Management ability to negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among multiple stakeholders across project phases. Independently manage multiple tasks or projects with little to no management involvement. Lead, define, streamline business processes and system implementation enhancements as a subject matter expert, within policies and tools. Consult on application issue resolution, including prioritizing work requests and proposing alternatives. Analyze metadata, model risk and cost-benefit analyses with business stakeholders, and support SLA reporting. Act as a mentor to Enterprise IS Business Analysts in requirements gathering, documentation, processes, problem solving, and vendor management. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize timelines. Education and Experience
Bachelors degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 9+ years of experience in lieu of a degree. Advanced collaboration, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with a proven track record of professional communications at all management levels. Advanced analytical problem solving and ability to analyze processes to scope process improvements. Project management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, O365, JIRA, and other project tools. Understanding of the healthcare industry and Medicare Part D rules and regulations, Medicaid services, claims adjudication, CMS guidance, and PDE data lifecycle. Occasional evening, night, or weekend hours during AEP season and surrounding periods. Proficient with SSMS, SQL, SAS EG, Text Editor, and UAT knowledge and functions. Preferred Skills and Experiences
Working knowledge of SAP and understanding of the software development lifecycle for data format communications between IT organizations. High integrity with a can-do attitude to motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Ability to make data-driven decisions, identify process improvements in an agile environment, and implement improvements. Working knowledge of serverless computing services for Microsoft Azure.
