Job Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing the incoming and outgoing shipments of goods, ensuring accuracy in inventory, timely deliveries, and proper documentation. This role plays a key part in maintaining the flow of materials and finished products in and out of the facility. Key Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of materials or products.

Verify the accuracy of shipments by comparing invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders.

Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging, labeling, and arranging transportation.

Maintain organized records of all shipping and receiving documentation.

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to coordinate deliveries and resolve discrepancies.

Track inventory levels and report any shortages or damages.

Follow safety protocols and company procedures for handling goods and equipment.

Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the shipping/receiving area.

Use inventory management systems or software to update item locations and statuses.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Familiarity with shipping software (e.g., UPS/FedEx systems) and Microsoft Office.

Forklift certification may be required.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

You should be proficient in: Material Handler Experience Distribution Experience Forklift Licensed Microsoft Excel

Salary info: $18 - $24 / hr
