Richmond Health Care Center is seeking an experienced, results-driven Marketing Director to lead census development and community outreach for our skilled nursing facility. This is not a desk job, it's a proactive, relationship-driven role designed for a go-getter who thrives in the field, building partnerships and turning referrals into admissions. Position Summary The Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing and referral plan in Richmond and the surrounding areas. This includes responding promptly to referrals, following up on pending referrals and hospital discharges, initiating and tracking authorizations, and engaging with referral partners to grow occupancy.
While some administrative work is required, the majority of this role is focused on field outreach, building strong connections with case managers, physicians, hospitals, and community partners to drive referrals and admissions. Key Responsibilities Grow Census: Create and implement a proactive marketing strategy focused on skilled nursing and rehabilitation admissions. Referral Management: Respond to referrals, follow up on pending referrals and authorizations, and maintain open communication with hospital discharge planners. Community Outreach: Build and sustain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, senior centers, and other referral sources. Authorization Oversight: Initiate, monitor, and follow up on authorizations to ensure smooth and timely admissions. Field Engagement: Represent Richmond Health Care Center at community events, networking opportunities, and with professional organizations. Performance Tracking: Monitor leads, conversions, and census trends to measure success and adjust strategies. Brand Visibility: Promote the facility's reputation and services through strategic marketing initiatives. Ideal Candidate Will Have
Proven experience in marketing or admissions within skilled nursing or senior living. Demonstrated success in building referral relationships and driving census growth. Strong knowledge of hospital discharge processes and authorization workflows. A self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision and excels in a field-based role.
