To effectively meet the needs of our customers and perform the duties of a highly skilled technologist in the production of diagnostic imaging for MRI. Operates MRI equipment in the production of images in accordance with department protocols. Administers contrast material for enhanced examinations under the supervision of a radiologist. Promotes a safe environment by screening all MRI patients for contraindication before allowing them to enter the magnetic field. The technologist must be attentive to patient needs during examinations and take appropriate action if necessary. Independent problem solving in the performance of duties with limited supervision. Required:
Graduate of an AMA approved radiological technologist program or MRI program. Certification Qualifications
Required:
Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Required:
Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification Required:
be licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Experience Qualifications
