Aerospace Shipping And Receiving Specialist
Oversee all shipping operations with a focus on the efficient movement of goods, staff training, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining safety. Key responsibilities include managing inventory, preparing and documenting outgoing shipments, supervising loading, performing quality checks, and training new employees to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards. Manage inventory and oversee all shipping operations. Prepare and document outgoing shipments. Supervise loading and perform quality checks. Train new employees to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards. Assist in the supervision and management of the Shipping Department. Coordinate with QA for packing slip inspection if any inventory, labeling, or part marking discrepancies exist. Utilize Boeing and Spirit portals independently. Identify Shipping Department strengths and weaknesses and define Continuous Improvement initiatives. Find solutions to inventory discrepancies, packaging, and paperwork issues. Manage staffing resources according to changing priorities. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. Create shipping labels and handle shipping information for domestic and international shipments. Prepare and coordinate international shipments and bills of lading with third-party freight forwarders. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and ERP systems. Experience in shipping, receiving, manufacturing, and aerospace. Ability to perform quality checks and manage inventory. Strong communication skills. Experience with the use of tape measure, calipers, and micrometers. Forklift operation is a plus. Knowledge of labeling, packaging, and material handling. Ability to create shipping labels and manage shipping information using UPS WorldShip, FedEx, and DHL.
