The Childrens Developmental Center in Richland, WA, is hiring a Part-Time Facilities Coordinator to help maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facility and property. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, minor repairs, vendor oversight, and ensuring safety compliance. Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team are key for success. Responsibilities

Vendor Management: Oversee building systems (plumbing, electrical, and HVAC) through inspections and minor repairs; schedule and coordinate emergency or long-term maintenance with contractors. Primary Contractor Contact: Act as the liaison for grounds maintenance, security, contracted cleaning, and facility-related repairs or services. Safety & Compliance: Implement safety protocols, conduct hazard checks, and ensure compliance with building codes. Inventory Management: Track and manage supplies, tools, and maintenance inventory to support repair needs. Documentation: Maintain records of schedules, vendor contracts, and compliance activities; report progress to your supervisor. Communication & Coordination: Address facility concerns effectively by coordinating with the tenant, stakeholders, and management. General Repairs: Perform carpentry, painting, replacing light fixtures, and other minor repairs; maintain overall facility cleanliness and upkeep. Space Optimization: Assist with facility layouts, event setups, and office moves; assemble and move furniture as needed. Emergency Preparedness: Lead monthly fire drills and lockdown drills in collaboration with the building tenant. Committee Participation: Join the Safety and Facilities Committees and help lead quarterly Safety meetings after six months. Errands & Light Cleaning: Run work-related errands and perform light cleaning tasks, such as replenishing supplies and recycling waste. Salary & Benefits

Experience: At least 12 years in facilities coordination or a related field. Independence: Self-starter who can work proactively with minimal oversight. Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and task prioritization. Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for working with vendors, team members, and upper management. Maintenance Skills: Hands-on experience with basic repairs, furniture assembly, and use of hand and power tools. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills for engaging staff, tenants, and vendors. Adaptability: Flexibility to handle shifting priorities and diverse environments. Safety Awareness: Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and procedures. Tech Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and office management software. Mission-Driven: Commitment to the Centers mission and core values. Transportation: Ability to commute locally; WA State Drivers License and proof of vehicle insurance. Additional Requirements

Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-conditional offer). COVID-19 vaccination and a negative Tuberculin test, as required in a child-centered environment. Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Working Conditions
