Overview The Delivery Driver / Warehouse team member drives over an established route(s) to deliver products and/or picks up returned merchandise from customers. Additionally, this position fulfills all shipping and receiving functions within the Branch.
Responsibilities
Use vehicle to deliver orders or pick up returned merchandise in a safe and courteous manner. Create and maintain records as needed.
Dispatch, confirm customer orders, and generate delivery manifests and receiving documents.
Sort, organize, and prepare merchandise from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas, by part and quantity.
Ensure customer orders are located, picked up, and signed for.
Collect funds from customers if needed and maintain all necessary documents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Job Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability and willingness to drive safely, adhering to all safety standards.
Capable of safely operating equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Proficiency in basic math skills.
Ability to use computers and handheld RF devices.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR per company standards.
Meet all applicable state-specific driver’s license requirements prior to driving a company vehicle.
Preferred Candidates
Familiarity with automotive parts.
Excellent customer service skills and a track record of going above and beyond.
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to operate safely and maintain a clean work environment.
Ability to respectfully challenge upwards.
Willingness to learn new skills about branch operations.
Physical Demands Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and listen. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and occasionally sit, climb, or balance. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level is generally high.
Salary Range USD $17.00 - USD $19.00 /Hr.
