Description
As an
Account Development Manager , you will drive new sales through assigned Pittsburgh Paints Company stores by growing existing business year-over-year and developing new accounts within the commercial, residential, industrial, and multi-family segments. You will report to the Regional Manager and work remotely in the Phoenix, Arizona market. Key Responsibilities: Ensure outstanding business relationships are being nurtured to existing customer accounts by keeping up to date with current promotions, new products, and customer service practices to identify job opportunities for growth. Add new accounts by developing account planning strategies and identifying sales opportunities in the field while gaining a deep understanding of existing business needs and the segments served. Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to manage accounts, maintain call logs, contact information, run reports, and track performance. Develop a strong cadence of face-to-face visits at the customers' place of business or at a customers' construction job/project site. Collaborate with store managers, associates and other employees to ensure customers' needs are met or exceeded. Facilitate accurate customer quotes to achieve margin targets in alignment with pricing strategies.
Qualifications: High school diploma required, bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred. Minimum of 3+ years outside sales experience required with a strong focus on account management and customer service. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in paint/coatings required; previous experience selling directly to contractors is highly desired. Experience with CRM and other enterprise software preferred. Must be willing to travel daily within assigned territory and possess a valid driver's license.
