Front Desk Staff (part-time) at Seattle Colleges Base pay range:

$21.09/hr - $24.30/hr Seattle Central College is looking to hire a Front Desk Assistant in the Learning Support Network. This position is part-time, up to 16 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, primarily in person, between 10am7pm. Initial review of application materials will begin on September 18, 2025. Position Summary

Under the direction of Learning Support Network staff, the Front Desk Assistant administers front desk functions of the Learning Centers within the Learning Support Network (LSN). The role facilitates access to tutoring services, provides students and staff with timely and accurate information regarding LSN services, assists in promoting tutoring services, executes basic administrative tasks, and maintains a warm, welcoming environment for all. This position is part of the Libraries, Learning Support and Employee Development division and supports student-centered, equity-producing, antiracist, and accessible tutoring services. Location: Seattle Colleges district (North Seattle College, Seattle Central College, South Seattle College) with involvement in multiple centers as needed. What you will be working on

Create a warm, welcoming, inclusive front desk environment for students, staff and guests Greet, provide information, and answer general questions regarding the LSN and tutoring policies and procedures Distribute marketing materials and help promote LSN services Help students and staff navigate tutoring webpages, Starfish, Canvas, eTutoring, Zoom, and other electronic resources Assist students with making appointments, checking in for sessions, and connecting with tutors Act as Calendar Manager in Starfish; track student appointments; record outcomes Track attendance, absences and tardies of tutors Manage the LSN Zoom Pro Account for remote tutoring Answer phone calls and departmental emails as volume requires Troubleshoot and resolve inquiries, escalating to supervisor when needed Make referrals to other student support resources and departments Participate in meetings and trainings; take meeting minutes if needed Assist in cleaning and tidying the Centers Perform other duties as required Qualifications

One year of experience or equivalent in a front-facing, customer service role Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to interact positively and professionally Ability to work with diverse populations Ability to work independently with general supervision and as part of a dynamic team Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Experience with learning technology tools; familiarity with MS Office, Zoom, Canvas, MS Teams Application materials
