Position Overview

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Nursing Supervisor to join a partner's team at a hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This role is ideal for a dedicated nursing professional with a background in cardiac and medical critical care who is ready to oversee and direct unit activities and personnel in the 27-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and coordinating department activities. This is a pivotal role that requires a commitment to high-quality patient care, efficient, cost-effective service, and a deep knowledge of specialized cardiac care. Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Current California Registered Nurse (RN) License. Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification. Upon hire: one professional certification in a related area. Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in a specialty area, such as a CICU. Experience as a Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse. Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing. Leadership experience beyond a Charge Nurse role. Key Responsibilities

Staff Management & Leadership Supervise and direct unit activities and personnel to ensure high-quality patient care. Assist in overseeing and directing department activities, ensuring efficient and cost-effective service. Adhere to the ANA Nursing Administration: Scope and Standards of Practice. Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a culture of understanding and mutual respect. Operational Oversight Plan, organize, control, and coordinate department activities. Specialize in the care of pre- and post-operative cardiac patients, heart failure, and post-MI cardiology patients. Handle complex procedures such as IABP, Swan-Ganz, CRRT, TTM, DKA, Pacemakers, Severe Sepsis, and Respiratory Failure. Why Join Us?
