The Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a full-time clinical faculty Surgical Pathologist with subspecialty expertise in Breast Pathology. The academic appointment will be at the rank of Health Science Clinical Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Health Sciences Clinical or Clinical X series, depending on level of experience and qualifications. The Department is seeking an outstanding candidate for a full-time clinical faculty position as a Surgical Pathologist with subspecialty expertise in Breast Pathology. The academic appointment will be at the rank of Health Science Clinical Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Health Sciences Clinical or Clinical X series, depending on level of experience and qualifications. Qualifications
MD (or its equivalent), have or be eligible for a valid California Medical License, and be either Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology by the time of appointment. All applicants must have or will have completed fellowship training within anatomic pathology or have its equivalent in clinical experience (3 or more years of sign out experience) by the time of appointment. Pending qualifications may be listed on submission materials. Priority will be given to candidates with formal breast pathology fellowship training. Strong preference for candidates with demonstrated scholarly activities in breast pathology. Responsibilities
Participate in night and weekend surgical pathology call. Participate in departmental teaching activities for medical students, house-staff, and fellows, and in interdepartmental conferences. Demonstrate outstanding diagnostic and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. Application Process
