Policy includes two types of paid leave that together allow you to accrue up to 20 days off per year (5 days under Cook County Paid Leave, which can roll over, and 15 days of vacation under a use it or lose it policy). You will also receive 9 paid federal holidays. Vacation time for new employees can be negotiated so long it does not exceed the maximum amount of time per the policy. Primary Responsibilities

Manage a virtual environment (VMware, SAN, NAS) and Windows Server (2019, 2022) environments. Provision, manage, and support Windows 10/11 laptops and desktops (onsite and remote), including MDM via Microsoft Intune. Administer Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user accounts. Support SaaS applications (Microsoft 365, spam filtering, collaboration suites). Provide help desk support to onsite and remote users. Manage and maintain network infrastructure (Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki), including firewall rule management, switch deployment, VLANs, Wi-Fi AP configuration (corporate vs guest). Collaborate with internal teams and MSP partners on infrastructure and security projects. Run backup and disaster recovery programs using Veeam and Zerto; maintain DR site with DRaaS partner. Manage and support cloud-hosted VOIP phone systems, MFP fleet, and print servers. Maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, endpoint security, MFA, and SSO technologies. Document systems, networks, and procedures for support and planning. Participate in project planning while balancing user support needs. Advise and collaborate with leadership on emerging technologies (cloud, AI) to support modernization initiatives. Occasionally perform after-hours patching and maintenance (rare, typically automated). What You Bring

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in IT, Systems Administration, Network Administration, or related fields. 5+ years in systems, server, storage, firewall administration within Windows environments. 5+ years in server maintenance, patching, and backup management. 5+ years supporting IT systems (ERP, CRM, etc.). 3+ years managing network infrastructure (switches, firewalls, VLANs, Wi-Fi APs). Understanding of cloud infrastructure and SaaS application management. Hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting endpoints for onsite and remote users. Strong troubleshooting, prioritization, and problem-solving skills. Advanced Excel knowledge is a plus. Diversity & Inclusion
