We are a scaling MSP who has been supporting the Houston business community for over 20 years. Were looking for a System Administrator with strong Tier 2 experience whos ready to step up and take on more advanced responsibilities. This role is perfect for someone coming from an MSP environment who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working across multiple client infrastructures, and expanding their skills in systems, networking, and cloud administration. This is a hybrid WFH position, combining remote support with onsite client visits. Youll handle escalations, implement solutions, and take ownership of critical system and network administration tasks. What Youll Be Doing:
Act as an escalation point for end-user, server, and networking issues Manage Microsoft 365 tenants (licensing, security policies, mail flow, Teams/SharePoint support) Administer Windows Server environments (20162022) including file/print services, RDS, GPOs, and patching Administer Active Directory: users, groups, permissions, MFA, and GPOs Configure and maintain networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs) Manage firewalls (SonicWall, WatchGuard, or similar) including VPN tunnels and NAT rules Monitor, maintain, and document client environments using RMM/PSA tools (ConnectWise, N-able, etc.) Collaborate with the team to identify recurring issues and design long-term solutions What Were Looking For:
3+ years supporting SMB clients in an MSP environment (required) Strong technical background in Microsoft 365 and Windows Server administration Hands-on virtualization experience (Hyper-V required, VMware preferred) Proficient in firewall and networking configuration Strong troubleshooting and escalation handling skills Industry certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Azure, VMware, Cisco) are a plus Salary: $80K$100K (based on experience) 401(k) with employer matching Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Paid time off and parental leave Additional perks and growth opportunities Seniority level
