Overview
Temporary Engineer, Systems & Infrastructure Administrator KPMG US. This nine-month assignment is within the Digital Nexus technology organization. Responsibilities
Provide administration, maintenance, configuration, and ongoing support of server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications Resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; collaborate with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; interface with business clients and technology staff to implement solutions that meet business needs and address impact of new or revised applications on existing infrastructure; including the installation and testing of new enterprise system software and hardware releases Work directly with users to prioritize requests and frequently update users to communicate progress and estimated delivery timeframes Coordinate support escalation communication; participate in the development and maintenance of project technical documentation including design, configuration, and installation Coordinate end-to-end application testing, defect management, change and release management and escalation processes; provide on-call production support, including off-hours and weekend support Qualifications
Minimum one year of recent experience operating in a large enterprise environment with understanding of systems at scale; technical skills in Windows Server and Linux; working knowledge of SANs Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university preferred Proficiency in Microsoft technologies including IIS, Microsoft Cluster Service, Certificates, and PowerShell; experience with VMware vSphere and Cisco UCS platform administration is a plus; strong troubleshooting using built-in Windows OS tools (Event Logs, Perfmon, NetSH, PowerShell) Ability to automate routine tasks such as PowerShell and Python; experience deploying software across the server estate Experience with Datadog, SCOM, Qualys, and ServiceNow is a plus Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
