Position Summary
The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of the internal systems, including customer-facing hosted and cloud environments, as well as providing technical assistance to team members with system and network requests. We are looking for an individual who is at home on the cutting edge of technology, can be both designer and ambassador, and will be seen as an expert both internally and externally. This specialist brings ideas to life by shaping Joink Managed Services and client strategy through advisory relationships, transforming possibilities into reality.
Responsibilities
IT Support relating to issues with internal systems and network infrastructure; triage tickets, perform advanced troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and proactive monitoring
Apply OS patches and upgrades; complete project and ticket work as required by workload
Support disaster recovery solutions
Provide technical support for Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, Office 365, SQL, etc.
Technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, security
Implement and support basic remote access solutions: VPN and Terminal Services
Monitor remote monitoring and management system alerts; respond through service tickets
Administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system
Maintain system documentation in industry-specific platforms
Communicate with customers as required: inform incident progress, notify of changes and outages

Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written
Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
Ability to provide and maintain detailed documentation on each job
Willingness to develop professionally
Customer service orientation and focus on satisfaction
Qualifications
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex service issues
Understanding of servers and networking technologies
Strong customer relationship skills
Understanding of Windows operating systems
Working level understanding of VMware
Understanding of Cloud technology components at hardware and software infrastructure level
Must have a vehicle to drive to customer locations as necessary
Candidate must be willing to reside near or commute to a Joink office (Illinois: Taylorville, Hillsboro; Indiana: Terre Haute)
Priority given to candidates with: 3-5 years of work experience in server administration, networking, or desktop support; A+/Network+ certification, Cisco certification; bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, or related field
Working Environment
40 hours per week
Overtime as needed
Occasional before/after work meetings and events
Less than 10% overnight travel
On-call rotational requirement, providing after hours support
