KPMG is currently seeking a Temporary Senior Systems Engineer, Systems & Infrastructure Administrator for a nine-month assignment to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. Overview
Join a role focused on administering and maintaining enterprise server infrastructure hosting critical applications. This temporary assignment is within the Digital Nexus technology organization at KPMG US. Responsibilities Provide administration, maintenance, configuration, and ongoing support of server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications Resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; collaborate with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; interface with business clients and technology staff to implement solutions that meet business needs and address impact of new or revised applications on existing infrastructure; including the installation and testing of new enterprise system software and hardware releases Work directly with users to prioritize requests and frequently update users to ensure they are informed of progress and estimated delivery timeframe Coordinate support escalation communication and participate in the development and maintenance of project technical documentation including design, configuration, and installation Coordinate end-to-end application testing, defect management, change and release management, and escalation processes; provide on-call production support, including off-hours and weekend support
Qualifications
Minimum three years of recent senior-level systems administration experience in a large enterprise environment; strong technical skills in Windows Server and Linux; working knowledge of SANs Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft technologies including IIS, Microsoft Clustering Services, Certificates and PowerShell; experience with VMware vSphere and Cisco UCS administration is a plus; strong troubleshooting using Windows OS tools (Event Logs, PerfMon, NetSH, PowerShell) Ability to automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, and experience deploying software across the server estate Experience with Datadog, SCOM, Qualys, and ServiceNow is a plus Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future (KPMG will not sponsor visas)
