The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans using a magnetic field and radio waves to capture images of patients' internal structures. These scans assist in diagnosing conditions affecting soft tissues, such as tumors or brain disorders. The role involves accurate image acquisition and collaboration with the medical team to provide comprehensive diagnostic information for patient care.
The responsibilities include:
Operating high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce specialized radiographic images of specific body parts.
Assessing patient medical histories to determine appropriate imaging parameters for accurate results.
Maintaining and operating advanced MRI equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and conducting regular maintenance checks to ensure reliability.
Collaborating with medical professionals during MRI procedures to ensure accurate positioning and optimal image quality.
Recording and documenting all MRI scans and related information in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), verifying charges, and resolving discrepancies.
Performing additional duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent; graduation from a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program. Experience:

ARRT (MR), MRI Technologist ARMRIT(MR), ARMRIT(MR), ARRT(MR), or acceptable equivalent; BLS (CPR) from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
