Job Description
Job Title: Sales Development Representative
Reports To: Director of Marketing
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary
A Sales Development Representative is responsible for finding and screening potential customers who could benefit from our products and services. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal SDR has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up sales closers for success. The SDR should be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Every potential customer has an opportunity to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Utilize cold calls and email to generate new sales opportunities
- Identify the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate products or services
- Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives
- Report to marketing director with weekly, monthly, and quarterly result

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field or equivalent in work experience of 5 years of relevant work experience
Skills/Experience
- Required: Minimum of 5+ years of related Sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Required: Strategic selling skills and business planning
- Preferred: Experience within complex selling environments
- Required: History of success maintaining & developing key relationships
- Preferred: Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite
- Preferred: Proficient user of Dynamics or related CRM
- Preferred: Possess strong communication skills, both oral and written
