Overview
Position: Manager, Do What You Love to End Alzheimers National Capital Chapter Location: Arlington, VA. This is a full-time exempt role based on 37.5 hours per week. Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $78,000.00/yr. The Do What You Love to End ALZ program is a signature peer-to-peer fundraising campaign of the Alzheimers Association. As Manager of this program in the National Capital chapter territory, you will leverage networking and relationship-building skills to identify and cultivate key community connections, corporate partnerships, and new audiences to drive campaign success. You will recruit, train, coach and inspire a Volunteer Committee and Executive Leadership Team to recruit and coach participants to achieve fundraising and event planning goals. This role is suited for an innovative, independent go-getter who demonstrates self-discipline, proactivity, and a results-driven mindset. Responsibilities
You have proven success at building sustainable corporate and community relationships that contribute to achieving event revenue goals and brand awareness You have recruited, managed, and coached volunteer committees to implement best practices to achieve fundraising goals You are a successful fundraiser who has coached and inspired individuals and teams to reach revenue goals You are an enthusiastic networker who identifies, recruits and engages new companies and activity-based groups in the community You have managed volunteer-led events that increased revenue year over year You promote a positive, inclusive team environment that fosters long-term community and volunteer relationships You have achieved or surpassed financial and participant goals through team and individual fundraising, corporate solicitation, and community partnerships Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience 3-5 years of proven experience in volunteer committee development Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Confident, goal-oriented self-starter able to work independently and with partners Creatively build community growth strategies for campaign expansion (target markets such as golf, hiking, livestreaming, and pickleball) Ability to recruit and retain past participants through working with Volunteer Committee and Executive Leadership Team Demonstrated ability to form and cultivate sustainable corporate relationships and partnerships Willingness to network year-round to recruit volunteers, companies, organizations and activity groups Develop and execute engaging community outreach activities promoting the Alzheimers Associations mission Maintain year-round relationships with National Team partners and constituents for involvement in chapter activities and recognition Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory; valid drivers license, reliable vehicle, good driving record and proof of insurance required Ability to work evenings and weekends as required Physical capability to bend, stoop, lift and transport up to 25 lbs Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and social media; experience with or ability to learn Luminate/Convio Job Details
