Stratum Networks is a rapidly growing information assurance and cybersecurity solutions company that provides high-end network and security consulting to Department of Defense and Intelligence Community clients. We are looking for a talented and passionate Level 1 Hardware Technician to support one of our clients located in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.
CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.
Job Description: Conduct site surveys; assess and document current site configuration and user requirements. Analyze requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions. Develop hardware installation schedules. Prepare drawings documenting configuration changes at each site. Prepare site installation plans. Configure computers, communications devices, and peripherals. Train site personnel in hardware use. Troubleshoot, repair, and test workstations, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment. Install and configure hardware and associated cabling. Maintain fiber optic/Ethernet cables and telephone systems. Salary ranges from $31k to $71k depending on experience and contract. Benefits include up to 3 weeks paid vacation, 11 paid holidays, immediate healthcare coverage, and a 401(k) plan with employer match. Required Skills, Experience, and Education: High school diploma or GED, with 0-2 years of experience, and 8570 Certification (Security+ preferred). Technical knowledge in hardware installation, repair, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in Windows OS, applications, and security patches. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Effective time management and ability to work independently. Remote end-user support skills. Familiarity with Active Directory security policies. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and drive a company vehicle. Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record. Required Clearance:
