is a healing community for those traumatized by addiction, homelessness, and mental health challenges. We provide a refuge where members gather for group meals, Recovery Circles, classes to learn job and life skills, connections to other community resources, and social activities in a sober and supportive environment. Membership is free, and open to all, but does carry a few requirements: be clean and sober for 24 hours before entering the Caf; attend weekly Recovery Circle; and give back through Caf chores (cleaning, serving meals, etc.). RCSJ also manages an 8-bed transitional housing unit for those recently released from prison and looking for a sober living environment. The Caf is a place where members and volunteers come together to share in meals and communitytraining is provided for those new to the role. Responsibilities
Be a welcoming presence in the Caf, listen to members, and share a meal or cup of coffee with them. Support members who come for recovery resources and companionship. Assist with Caf duties as needed, including cleaning and serving meals. Hours & Availability
The Caf is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Must be available at least one of those days. Most Companions contribute 12 hours per visit. Qualifications
