UX Researcher Advanced Product Ventures
Location : Beaverton, OR (in-person required)
We are seeking a UX researcher who is a self-starter and will work with consumers to test UX products and apps.
The role involves working closely with UX designers to communicate research findings that will help improve consumer products.
Familiarity with tools like Figma, Dscout, and survey platforms is important for this role.
The candidate must be able to conduct unbiased research without persuading consumers.
We aim to develop a world-class mobile experience for a groundbreaking next-generation hardware product. This role will lead UX research efforts to shape the mobile and watch app experience, ensuring it is intuitive, impactful, and based on real athlete needs. The ideal candidate is strategic, hands-on, thrives in ambiguity, collaborates deeply with design and product teams, and provides clarity through insights.
What You Will Work On
Design and execute UX research studies to inform the development of mobile and watch apps.
Utilize various human-centered design research methods (interviews, observations, diary studies, prototypes, surveys, user tests) at different stages of the process.
Partner with design teams to ideate, prototype, and iterate on new features.
Lead internal and external field research efforts.
Leverage prior UX research programs to inform development and avoid past pitfalls.
Help define timelines, facilitate progress, and ensure project success.
Synthesize insights into actionable recommendations to shape strategy and roadmaps.
Maintain a deep understanding of consumer knowledge, trends, and past research to inform new and exciting developments.
Who You Will Work With
You will collaborate with the Advanced Product Ventures team, product managers, designers, engineers, and external partners. You will also engage directly with athletes to understand their needs, behaviors, and aspirations, translating these into meaningful digital experiences.
What You Bring
Bachelors or Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design Research, or a related field.
Years of experience conducting UX research in product development environments.
Experience applying human-centered design approaches and tools to solve complex problems.
Ability to scope research processes, gather insights from secondary research, lead fieldwork, and conduct in-context interviews and observations.
Experience working on mobile apps, connected devices, or wearable technology.
Strong storytelling and communication skills to influence design and product decisions with evidence.
Familiarity with tools like Figma, Dscout, and survey platforms.
Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG and inclusive design principles).
Ability to navigate ambiguity and translate it into organized, clear steps.
Comfort discussing and facilitating discussions with senior leadership.
