The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service, and will be a member of the Adult Blood & Marrow Stem Cell Transplant Program, Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology. Duties include: Daily clinical management of inpatient bone marrow/hematologic malignancy patients with an emphasis on clinical management of allogeneic and autologous transplant patients; shared responsibility for on-call coverage; case conferencing with multi-disciplinary teams; coordination of teaching rounds with Fellows and House-staff assigned to the inpatient; fostering collaborative relationships with referring physicians and organizations; medical direction to Data Managers and Nurse Coordinators; experience and expertise in the establishment and maintenance of comprehensive databases; development and participation in clinical trials; participation in the education of medical students and house staff in accordance with assignments to the department by the Curriculum Committee and Chair. Required Qualifications

Education & Experience: MD OR

MD/PhD Licensed to practice medicine in Oregon Board certified in Internal Medicine Board eligible/certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology Demonstrates the background, focus and drive to excel, as well as the desire to deliver the best care possible to cancer patients in a clinical research environment Preferred Qualifications

Our ideal candidate must possess a proven track record of teaching, basic, clinical or population research and excellent patient care. Proven success in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, history of success in obtaining extramural funds for clinical trials and/or basic science research. Additional Details
