smartdept. is searching for a Digital Media Specialist for a hospitality industry client located in Florida (remote candidates from anywhere in the U.S. will be considered, but Florida-based applicants are preferred). The ideal candidate will come with 1+ years of experience in digital marketing operations or a related field. This is a part-time, fully remote, ongoing contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension.
This hands-on, tech-focused role supports the daily operations of websites, SaaS platforms, email systems, and social media tools. You’ll work closely with marketing and creative leadership, serving as a critical extension of the business and helping to ensure digital systems run smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Do:
Maintain, update, and optimize company websites (content, plugins, landing pages, CMS upkeep) Collaborate with marketing and design teams to create and launch new website projects Monitor site performance, uptime, and user experience Oversee daily usage and maintenance of key marketing SaaS tools (CRM, analytics dashboards, project management, email platforms) Manage user access, integrations, and troubleshoot technical issues Build, test, and deploy email campaigns (using platforms like Mailchimp, HubSpot, or Klaviyo) Maintain email lists, segmentation, tagging, and automation workflows Support campaign reporting, A/B testing, and deliverability monitoring Serve as a tech and platform support resource for the Social Media Manager Jump between digital tools and platforms as needed to support business operations What You’ll Need:
Education/Experience:
Associate's degree in marketing, digital media, web design, or a related field; or relevant certification 1+ years of experience in digital marketing operations, website management, or a related digital role Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Elementor, SiteGround) Proficiency with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, HubSpot, Constant Contact) Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Birdeye, etc.) Strong attention to detail, especially in site testing and QA Basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus but not required Comfortable managing multiple platforms and shifting priorities quickly Nice-to-Have Skills:
Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, design, and tech teams Experience supporting teams where English is not the first language Self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills Experience in the travel, hospitality, or real estate industry Why Join?
