Mechanic
We are seeking a hands-on, highly skilled Mechanic to join our team and ensure our equipment operates at peak performance. This role involves diagnosing and repairing a wide range of systems, including industrial pumps, forklifts, and electrical and mechanical components. Welding experience is essential, as you will be fabricating and reinforcing parts across multiple departments.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial pumps and forklifts.
- Utilize welding skills to fabricate and reinforce parts.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA standards.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical repair in industrial or commercial settings.
- Strong knowledge of pump systems, forklift maintenance, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Certification in welding or mechanical repair is a plus.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is required, either current or to be obtained.

Work Environment
Work in a dynamic indoor/outdoor hazardous waste facility. The position operates on a 1st Shift schedule from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Beach, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
