School Social Worker
to join our team and help support the well-being and success of all learners. Position Summary
As a School Social Worker, you will play a vital role in addressing the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students. Youll collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to provide support services, remove barriers to learning, and advocate for student success. Key Responsibilities
Provide direct counseling services to students individually and in groups.
Conduct social-emotional assessments and support plans tailored to individual student needs.
Partner with families, educators, and community agencies to provide comprehensive support.
Assist in the development and implementation of IEPs, 504 Plans, and Behavioral Intervention Plans.
Participate in crisis prevention and response efforts.
Promote trauma-informed, equitable, and inclusive practices throughout the school.
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
Qualifications
Required: Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW)
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker Endorsement
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or clinical settings
Preferred: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
Bilingual (Spanish or other languages)
Experience with restorative practices, MTSS, SEL, and culturally responsive practices
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive weekly pay:
$40 $55 per hour (based on experience)
