School Social Worker
to join our team and play a key role in supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of our students. Position Summary
The School Social Worker serves as a critical liaison between students, families, and school personnel. This position focuses on addressing barriers to learning, providing direct services to students, and promoting mental health and well-being in the school setting. Key Responsibilities
Provide individual and group counseling for students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies in collaboration with educators and parents.
Connect families to community resources such as mental health services, housing assistance, and food security programs.
Participate in the development of IEPs, 504 Plans, and behavioral intervention plans.
Support crisis intervention efforts and respond to student or school emergencies.
Promote equity, trauma-informed practices, and culturally responsive support across the school community.
Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
Required: Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW)
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker Endorsement
Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school setting
Preferred: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
Bilingual (Spanish or other languages)
Experience with restorative practices, MTSS, or trauma-informed care
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive weekly pay:
$40 $55 per hour (based on experience)
