This position seeks two Special Education Teachers to provide specialized instruction within a K-12 school setting in Muskegon, MI. Both roles are contract-based for the current school year (CSY) and focus on serving diverse student needs.

Role 1: Early Childhood Special Education Deliver targeted support and instruction to young learners with disabilities Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Utilize age-appropriate strategies and interventions to promote developmental progress Role 2: High School Special Education Work with high school students aged 15-19 receiving special education services through a coordinated system Implement effective teaching approaches tailored to students academic and functional goals Facilitate transition planning, social skills development, and life skills enhancement Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience in Early Childhood Special Education for Role 1, or secondary/high school special education for Role 2 Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and assessment strategies Effective communication and collaboration skills to partner with students, families, and educators Location: Muskegon, Michigan (K-12 public school environment) Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction consistent with IEPs Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly Maintain required documentation and compliance with educational regulations Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs across developmental stages.
