Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion for problem-solving, database and financial analysis, and collaborating with team members to produce timely and accurate financial reporting. Peace Industries, Inc (dba Spotnails), an award-winning distributor of pneumatic stapling tools, collated fasteners, and replacement parts, headquartered in Rolling Meadows IL, is seeking a Accountant to join our team, help us continue to build a fantastic workplace, and help our customers grow their businesses.

As an Accountant you will partner with the other accounting staff to provide timely and accurate financial reporting so leaders can make well-informed decisions.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary, $70,000 - $100,000 commensurate with experience
• Medical/Dental/Vision

Responsibilities

• Compiling, analyzing, troubleshooting, and reporting financial data
• Collaborating on special database compilation and analysis projects
• Assisting with cost accounting transactions, maintenance, and procedures
• Working on ERP migration, AI migration, and sales tax compliance projects
• Daily, monthly, and annual reporting, including bank reconciliations, journal entries and supporting work papers

Qualifications

• Alignment with our company values
• BS or BA in Accounting; 2-7 years in public and/or industry accounting
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, V-lookup, etc.)
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
