Russellville Dental Group, a Heartland Dental supported practice, is looking for a Full-Time Experience Dental Assistant to join our team. No nights or weekends, dental assistant academy training and CE classes included.

Expected Work Hours:
- Full-Time Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 7:40am-5:00pm (Hours Subject to Change)
- Part-Time Schedule: Monday-Wednesday, 7:40am-5:00pm (Hours Subject to Change)

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the states of FL & TN.
More about the role
- Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort, and provide education throughout treatment
- Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
- Provide superior chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice act
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
- Prepare treatment room with adherence to safety protocols following OSHA & CDC recommendations
- Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed
- Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Arkansas Dental Assistant Permit
- Arkansas X-Ray Certification
- 1 year of Dental Assistant experience
- Understanding of PHI handling with HIPAA training; able to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric, high patient volume environments
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Adaptable to a changing work environment
- Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and sense of urgency
- Team player
Preferred Experience:
- Dentrix or other dental software experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds occasionally
- Availability to attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically throughout the year
