Were currently seeking a passionate and energetic Site Director to lead our Before and/or After School Program at Frelinghuysen Elementary School in Newton, NJ. In this role, youll serve as the key leader overseeing every aspect of the Healthy Kids Program Site.

JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt PAY RANGE: $18.00 $21.00 per hour

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES:

Ensuring Compliance: You'll help keep everything on track by making sure staff and programming follow OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and school-specific rules. Creating a Fun, Enriching Environment: Plan and lead interactive, hands-on activities rooted in the Healthy Kids Curriculum think fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. Plus, you'll support kids with homework to help them stay on top of their game. Leading with Confidence: Handle day-to-day operations such as tracking attendance, managing registrations, and ensuring staffing levels are where they need to be for a smooth-running program. Building Connections: Use the Playground App to keep communication open and consistent with families. Team Synergy: Stay in regular contact with your supervisor to share updates, raise concerns, and collaborate toward program excellence. Together, well maintain a positive team culture and tackle any challenges proactively.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelors Degree in Education, Psychology, Health, Nursing, or a related field tied to child development; OR a Teaching Certificate in Elementary Ed, Preschool 3rd Grade (P-3), or Teacher of the Handicapped. Must also have 6 Early Childhood credits and 2 years of experience working with children.

OR

A Bachelors Degree in another field, 6 Early Childhood credits, and 4 years of experience with kids.

OR

A Head Teacher endorsement from the NJ Registry for Childhood Professionals, Professional Impact New Jersey.

You're medically cleared to perform all job responsibilities and are free from communicable illnesses, including TB. You have a naturally friendly, approachable demeanor. Your communication and interpersonal skills shine whether you're speaking with kids, families, or colleagues. Youre punctual, dependable, and professional. You're physically up for the job, including bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and staying active with energetic children.
