Job Title: Special Staff Officers (SSOs)
Location: DC Metro Area
This is an Onsite Position:
Opportunity Overview: CORTEK seeks experienced Special Staff Officers (SSOs) to support Army tactical formations and programs across multiple domains: Transportation, Munitions, Sustainment, and Medical. These roles require foundational operational experience in Army units and familiarity with relevant systems and equipment. SSOs will contribute to capability development, modernization planning, and program integration.
Responsibilities by Role
Transportation SSO:
Support programs such as the Palletized Load System (PLS) and Heavy Trailers
Must be familiar with tactical wheeled vehicles, trailers, and MRAPs
Munitions SSO:
Support Close Combat Systems and other munitions programs
Must understand direct/indirect fire munitions, missiles, pyrotechnics, and explosives
Sustainment SSO:
Support Mobile Maintenance Systems and logistics modernization
Must be familiar with Ordnance and Quartermaster systems
Medical SSO:
Support garrison and field hospital systems
Must understand medical evacuation doctrine and levels of patient care
Required Qualifications:
Foundational operational experience in Army tactical formations
Familiarity with equipment and systems relevant to assigned domain
Ability to support Army Acquisition Category (ACAT) II and III programs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
