Bloom Learning Centers is seeking a dedicated and flexible individual to join our Riverhead team. This position will begin as a part-time substitute teacher and transition into a full-time Assistant Teacher role by November.

We are looking for someone who is nurturing, reliable, and excited to support childrens learning and growth in a warm, engaging classroom environment.

Position Details

• Starting Role: Part-Time Substitute Teacher
• Future Role: Full-Time Assistant Teacher (starting November)
• Location: Bloom Learning Center Riverhead, NY
• Age Groups: Infants through Preschool (placement based on program needs)

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers in providing a safe and caring learning environment.
• Assist with daily routines, activities, and transitions.
• Step into classrooms as needed to cover breaks, absences, or support ratios.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Follow Blooms curriculum and classroom routines with consistency.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for working with young children.
• Previous childcare or teaching experience preferred, but not requiredwe provide training.
• Reliability, flexibility, and teamwork are a must.
• Must meet all NYS OCFS requirements (including fingerprinting and background clearance).
