ALL ABOUT FOOD & BEVERAGE

The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They are experts of operations, process and efficiency. This team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all Food and Beverage areas of the store.

Role Overview

The role of a Starbucks Barista offers the opportunity to:

• Gain knowledge of guest service fundamentals and build a guest-first culture in Starbucks
• Provide a consistent Starbucks experience by curating handcrafted Starbucks products
• Manage food quality and freshness
• Understand and follow state and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines

Typical Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing quality handcrafted beverages and food
• Uphold Starbucks and Target standards, including food safety
• Execute food and beverage processes such as replenishment, stocking, and signing
• Maintain awareness of promotional activities
• Support Drive Up process for digital orders
• Maintain an inviting dining area
• Engage with guests to meet and exceed expectations
• Follow food safety and packaging guidelines
• Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items
• Complete cleaning tasks and ensure proper inventory management
• Create a welcoming environment and engage with guests
• Complete all required Starbucks trainings
• Follow safety policies and support guest services
• Perform other duties as needed

Candidate Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who:

• Enjoy working in a fun, energetic environment
• Are passionate about providing excellent guest service
• Are interested in stocking, setting, and selling products
• Preferably have previous food service experience, but not required
• Have a welcoming attitude and good communication skills
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Are detail-oriented and able to follow multi-step processes
• Can remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment

Additional Requirements

• Handle cash register operations accurately
• Climb ladders and handle merchandise safely
• Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Work in varying temperatures and environments
• Remain mobile for the duration of shifts
