Location: Maryville, Illinois (facility) Position: CT Technologist (Travel) Responsibilities include operating CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images, preparing and positioning patients, ensuring imaging protocols are followed, and collaborating with radiologists to obtain high-quality images. Required Qualifications
One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications
Current ARRT Certification Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Essential Work Functions
Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging process, and position patients appropriately Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology Provide high-quality images to Radiologist for interpretation Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospitals system Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; proficient in PC skills Physical ability to remain stationary, move and position equipment and patients as needed Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel Technical/motor skills for procedures and use of department equipment Mental ability to handle deadlines, irregular schedules, and concentration requirements Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Include
