CT Tech operates CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities include preparing patients, positioning, following imaging protocols, and collaborating with radiologists to obtain high-quality images while ensuring safety and accuracy. Essential Work Functions

Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging process, and position patients appropriately Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology Provide high-quality images to radiologists for interpretation Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various facilities Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice Required Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications

Current ARRT Certification Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Required Essential Skills

Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to read/comprehend instructions and follow verbal instructions; proficiency in PC skills Physical abilities to remain stationary, move equipment, push, pull, and bend Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel Technical/motor skills to assist with procedures and operate department equipment Mental requirements to cope with frequent contact with the public, meet deadlines, and handle variable schedules Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Include
