Schedule 7am-5:30pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday - Thursdays off.
Job Description The Registered Echo Technologist performs cardiovascular procedures ordered by physicians to assist in patient diagnosis. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care while adhering to established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including stress echoes, transesophageal echo, 2-D echo with M-mode, color flow, and cardiac Doppler.
Conduct cardiovascular diagnostic tests such as EKGs, Event Monitor applications, and Stress Testing.
Maintain accurate records of procedures in patient charts and communicate essential findings to physicians.
Ensure proper cleaning and disinfecting of cardiology equipment and accessories.
Assist with supply inventory, clerical tasks, and patient transport as needed.
Participate in monthly cardiovascular meetings and quality improvement programs.
Provide instruction and supervision to students and newly hired employees.
Maintain patient rights and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Vascular/Echocardiography from an accredited institution or equivalent on-the-job training.
CCI or ARDMS registered cardiac sonographer or registry eligible, and CPR certification required.
One to two years of experience as an echocardiography technician is preferred.
