Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule Monday - Friday between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; weekend call required, 1 on 4 off, Saturday and Sunday from 8 am.
Job Description We are seeking a full-time Echo Sonographer traveler to assist our Cardiology Team at our main campus. The Echocardiographer (Echo Tech) will work with the practice team to support patient care in the hospital/office setting under the supervision and direction of Practice Providers and the Cardiology Team.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures.
Explain procedures to patients and address their questions.
Obtain high-quality imaging and assist physicians in interpreting the data.
Ensure accurate maintenance of records and provide patient care in accordance with hospital standards.
Demonstrate clinical competence in all modalities within echocardiography.
Provide patient and caregiver education while acting as an advocate for patient care.
Maintain knowledge and competency in echocardiography practices as established by credentialing organizations.
Deliver exceptional customer service as part of the care team.
Organize exam rooms and assist with inventory and quality monitoring.
Collaborate with healthcare providers regarding patient needs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Proficiency in Adult Echocardiography, including Transthoracic Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo (TEE).
Registered Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI (R.D.C.S. or R.C.S.) preferred; registry required within 1 year of employment.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) certification.
