Job Opportunity At Gray's Specialty Equipment

Gray's Specialty Equipment segment offers a comprehensive range of expert services, including design, manufacturing, integration, installation, and maintenance of advanced systems in various markets. The segment includes Anderson Dahlen, located in Ramsey and Waconia, MN, and AD Process Equipment, located in Naperville, IL. Anderson Dahlen specializes in stainless steel and specialty alloy fabrication and is ISO 9001:2015 certified, as well as ASME, AWS, and PED compliant. AD Process Equipment features a dedicated control panel fabrication shop, in-house engineering capabilities, and manufacturing space to support customized process system solutions. Primary Objective Of The Position: Manages development efforts for the Distribution Business Unit (BU) to drive revenue growth and profitability. Manages day to day activities to generate, pursue, and close business with prospects and accounts. Manages a direct team and collaborates with shared resources to support customers, orders, supplier relationships, and execution of business in multiple regions and stocking locations. Major Areas Of Accountability: Oversees implementation and administration of the Distribution BU business development program. Assesses potential new markets, evaluates business opportunities, and develops strategies for targeting potential customers. Establishes and enforces standards governing lead generation, prospect contact and follow-up, and opportunity qualification. Coaches a team of business development representatives in assessing customer needs and positioning the organization's products or services as potential solutions. Tracks business development activities and reports on results to management. Experience and Education Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles. Performs complex tasks typically following established processes. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions. Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures but may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change. Administers long-term strategic plans for the growth of the Distribution BU. Assists in the development of strategies for identifying and responding to business development opportunities, which may include internal expansion into new markets or external expansion via partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures. Develops and maintains positive relationships with partners and ensures ongoing satisfaction of the partner organization. Gathers and analyzes data evaluating new business opportunities or assessing potential markets, to assist executive teams in decision making and planning. Prepares proposals, reports, or presentations demonstrating the potential value of new business opportunities. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Qualifications For Entry: Typically requires a bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience. Ability to foster teamwork. Management skills. Physical Requirements: Anderson Dahlen fosters a manufacturing type environment. This position will primarily involve operating a computer at a desk in an office environment.
