Overview
Maimonides is seeking a Guard to serve as a liaison between patients, visitors, and staff while ensuring the safety and security of Medical Center property through enforcement of hospital policies and state laws; also oversees parking operations and fee collection as directed.
Responsibilities
Patrols all areas of the Medical Center to prevent and detect fire, theft, vandalism, and other security concerns.
Serves as a liaison between patients, visitors, and staff, providing guidance, support, and referrals as needed.
Responds to patient and visitor concerns, escalating to appropriate departments and reporting to administration.
Enforces hospital policies and applicable laws; makes arrests when necessary and may serve as a witness in court proceedings.
Prepares incident reports, conducts investigations, and assists in restraining emotionally disturbed patients when required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Successful completion of a NYS-approved Security Guard Training Program
Current NYS Security Guard registration (per Security Guard Act)
BLS/AED certification
Successful completion of a de-escalation training course
Valid NYS driver's license and the ability to drive standard transmission vehicles
Pay Range
USD $26.47 - USD $29.83 /Hr.
