Material Handler – 2nd Shift (Contract-to-Hire) Location: Four Oaks, NC Industry: Medical Device Manufacturing Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM Pay Rate: $17.50/hour + $1.50 shift differential = $19.00/hour Requirement: Drug test required Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to join a medical device manufacturing company in Four Oaks, NC. This is a contract-to-hire position offering stable, long-term career potential. The Material Handler will be responsible for moving materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products using various equipment while maintaining adherence to SOPs, quality guidelines, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to transport materials and products within the facility Maintain accurate records of material movement as required Apply basic knowledge and skills to perform routine material handling tasks within defined processes Support production and logistics by moving goods efficiently and accurately Ensure compliance with all SOPs, quality, and safety guidelines Work under general to limited supervision, with the ability to meet productivity goals Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 1+ year of warehouse, material handling, or related experience Forklift or equipment certification (preferred or must obtain/maintain if hired) Effective verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents and perform basic math calculations General computer skills and ability to work in a metrics-driven environment Basic training or experience in material handling, logistics, or production processes Physical Requirements Regular standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, and repetitive hand/finger motions Ability to lift and/or move 50+ lbs Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and varying temperatures (hot in summer with no AC; cold in winter with limited heating) Occasional exposure to high places, fumes, or airborne particles Noise level ranges from moderate to loud Employment Details Position Type: Contract-to-Hire Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM)
