Job Description Step into a day shaping precision parts for flight TekPro has partnered with a premier manufacturer of power transmission components serving aerospace and defense, and we’re hiring two experienced CNC turning professionals for a modern, 150,000 sq. ft., air‑conditioned facility. A day in the life You start by reviewing the work order, OP. drawing, and quality plan, translating blueprints and GD&T into a machining strategy. You select and install the right three‑ or four‑jaw chuck, load material, and prepare tools and attachments across multiple machine brands (including DMG/Mori Seiki). You run the first article, verify dimensions, and make smart program edits at the control to achieve flawless results. Throughout the run, you monitor drilling, grooving, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing, taking measurements, troubleshooting any malfunctions, and reprogramming or replacing worn tools as needed. You document production and quality logs, communicate effectively across shifts, and perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer guidelines to keep equipment in peak condition. Interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering and quality plans, specifications, materials, machining parameters, and GD&T. Set up CNC lathes: install/adjust chucks, stage tools and attachments, and load feed mechanisms with stock. Validate setups: measure first‑run and sample parts to OP. drawing and quality plan; adjust offsets and programs. Execute turning operations including drilling, grooving, facing, knurling, and thread chasing. Troubleshoot processes, detect malfunctions, and reprogram controls; replace worn tools. Adhere to safety and quality assurance procedures at all times. Complete preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs per manufacturer instructions. Maintain shift continuity via thorough documentation and communication. Keep learning through training and technical publications; take ownership to add value beyond the basics. What you bring
2+ years operating CNC lathes and mills. Fluency reading mechanical drawings and applying GD solid basic math. Proficiency with G-Code and production setups. Experience on DMG/Mori Seiki NT4300/1500 turn/mill is a strong plus. Background with gear manufacturing is a big plus. Technologies you’ll use
