Flower Packaging Associate

ABOUT THE POSITION: Each Flower Packaging Associate is responsible for keeping their station and the overall area clean. After training, all members are expected to understand and follow packaging policies and procedures. Working in small groups, packagers must be efficient, detail-oriented, and collaborative, recognizing that their work is the final step before products reach dispensary shelves. Pride and precision in their work are essential.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Sort and Package all Marijuana products leaving the Sonoran Roots facility (Bulk Flower, Pre-Pack, Pre-Rolls, Trim, Fresh Frozen, etc.)
Process Marijuana flower into predetermined packaging.
Stage orders for the Sales department in preparation for deliveries
Maintain accuracy in labeling procedures
Understand how and where specific products are stored in the facility
Maintain an accurate count of products in active inventory at all times.
Must be able to maintain an average company standard for processed packages.
Maintain equipment stations in a clean and orderly fashion at all times.
Assist in related work such as inventory, product preparation, trimming, sanitary practices, waste protocols, cleaning of tools and facility, etc.
Learn and uphold product quality standards.
Understand, abide by, and enforce AZ Department of Health Services ("AZDHS") rules, regulations, and compliance standards.
Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
Complete daily checklists of tasks with efficiency and precision.
Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional working environment.
Safely and compliantly move cannabis products throughout the facility.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and attention to detail.
Responsible and reliable travel between cultivation locations.
Being able to work well with others and offer support wherever is needed.
Punctuality and reliability are absolutely necessary to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
Facility maintenance and janitorial duties as scheduled.
Additional duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications (Required): The ability to consistently weigh cannabis flower accurately to avoid over- or under-packaging, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining product quality. Ability to inspect cannabis flower for defects, mold, or damage before packaging, ensuring only high-quality product is sent to consumers. Ensuring that packaging is labeled correctly with all required information, such as strain name, weight, potency, batch number, and compliance warnings. Ability to follow established SOPs to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards, especially around inventory tracking and seed-to-sale systems. Ability to meet packaging deadlines and maintain productivity, especially in high-demand periods or when handling large volumes of product. Ability to obtain and maintain an AZDHS Facility Agent Card. Attention to detail and ability and willingness to follow instructions Reliable attendance and communication - show up to work when you say you will and do what you say you will do. Criminal background checks will be performed; most marijuana-related crimes will not negatively impact an application. Additional Qualifications (Preferred): Experience in the cannabis industry (formal or informal). High school diploma or GED. Cannabis-related education. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pay Rate:
