ABOUT THE POSITION: The Packaging Associate is responsible for preparing and packaging cannabis products in compliance with company standards and state regulations. This role ensures that products are accurately weighed, labeled, and prepped for final packaging while maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the pre-roll environment.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - PACKAGING ASSOCIATE: Weigh, sort, and package cannabis products according to company specifications. Label and seal products accurately while following compliance guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment. Follow all state regulations and company policies regarding cannabis handling. Work efficiently to meet daily production goals and deadlines. Assist with inventory management and product tracking. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and quality control.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to efficiently fill, pack, and twist pre-rolls according to company standards. Experience using precision scales to ensure accurate dosing and consistency. Understanding of state regulations regarding labeling, batch tracking, and packaging. Familiarity with pre-roll machines or hand-rolling techniques. Ensuring uniformity in pre-roll size, weight, and quality. Identifying and removing defective products before packaging. Accurately applying labels and verifying compliance information. Effective communication with supervisors and team members regarding production issues or quality control. Adaptability to changes in workflow or product specifications.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This role requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, perform repetitive hand and arm movements, and frequently bend or stoop. The employee must also be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The position is performed indoors, typically in a cooler environment, and requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety and compliance standards.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: AZDHS Facility Agent (FA) card is required to start work Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed. Quick learner and willing to be coachable and flexible with work tasks. Must be 21+ years old. Ability to obtain and maintain an AZDHS Facility Agent Card. Attention to detail and ability and willingness to follow instructions. Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Reliable attendance and communication - show up to work when you say you will and do what you say you will do. Criminal background checks will be performed; most marijuana-related crimes will not negatively impact an application. Reliable transportation. Additional Qualifications (Preferred): High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in packaging, manufacturing, or cannabis industry is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Must be 21 years or older and able to pass all required background checks. Job Type:
