The warehouse operations manager leads and manages all phases of warehouse/supply chain operations, including production, supply/operations order fulfillment, ensuring inventory accuracy, shipping, receiving, storage of supplies, and managing stock and non-stock materials. This individual will ensure and hold accountable all warehouse personnel to ensure that all processes, procedures, and standard work instructions are being followed. The warehouse operations manager will collaboratively work with other departments within Berner Food & Beverage to ensure the highest standards of quality, warehouse operations, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties Ensures a safe working environment and fosters a safe culture for all. Ensures compliance with all safety training, drives a culture focused on safe behaviors, and identifies and addresses safety opportunities. Provides oversight of work and processes to all warehouse functions, including order processing, material handlers, warehouse coordinators, and forklift operators. Develop and coach supervisors in leadership, process improvement, and leveraging the Berner Operating System to achieve standard warehouse KPIs around People, Safety, Quality, and productivity. Reports to the Director of Supply Chain to ensure all warehouse operations are meeting Berners’ overall company strategy, goals, and objectives. Ability to strategically plan and identify areas for improvement within Berners’ Warehouse Department. Executes improvement opportunities by including warehouse supervisors and staff, consulting and collaborating with other departments, and leveraging the Continuous Improvement Team when necessary. Improvements are validated through KPI improvement. Establishes a good working relationship with 3PL transportation and 3PL or Berner warehouses outside of the plant warehouse to drive effective inventory management processes, trailer and material flow, and overall communication and problem-solving. Ensures measurable time frames for Warehousing processes that lead to increased efficiencies. Sets direction and strategy for people management with the Supply Chain Director and HR to support supervisors’ ability to manage overtime, headcount, labor hours, and productivity KPIs. Communicates and applies company philosophy, policies, procedures, and expectations to assigned staff and ensures compliance. Ensures all proper protocols and training are

documented/monitored

for all warehouse personnel, including warehouse-specific, compliance, safety, and general Berner Food and Beverage required training. Leads with an “inspect what you expect” mentality and works with the supervisors to verify the effectiveness of training, policies, and processes. Manages all Power Industrial Truck (PIT) to ensure proper maintenance and repairs are being done, and high equipment utilization throughout. Effectively communicates daily expectations and guidance to the warehouse team on cross-functional expectations, including safety, machine operation, sanitation, quality, customer service, and maintenance. Ensures and administers (in collaboration with the inventory team) operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of shipments, material dispositions, and accurate keeping of all warehouse inventory. Defines, audits, and oversees compliance to Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures for all warehousing activities, including but not limited to receipt, storage, and shipment of materials, related reporting, proper verification of shipping/receiving paperwork (e.g., bills of lading, cargo manifests, dock reconciliations, etc.), and inventory activities. Communicates with Production, dispatching, carriers, drivers, and other key departments within Berner to establish processes that ensure the effective flow of materials and finished products in and out of the facility to meet production and shipment schedules. Including standard work and processes for order processors, material handlers, and warehouse coordinators. Ensures continuous improvement processes to increase efficiencies, reduce waste, and improve performance for customers. Drives an audit-ready culture and environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures, including GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). Participates in company and customer audits, along with providing support to other departments as needed during the audits. Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety, and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements, and a focus on continuous improvement. Ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed. Utilizes data systems to identify areas of opportunity for continuous improvement. Training, Education, and Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred, associate acceptable with a required concentration in a Technical Discipline (Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management) Desired 5-7 years of related experience, preferably working in a Food/Beverage facility or equivalent industry experience. Extensive knowledge of ERP and WMS Powered Industrial Truck certified. Must be able to support/oversee a 24/7 operation. Demonstrated Microsoft applications skills. Ability to generate and interpret data, create reports, and present operational status to company executives.
