Outreach Specialist

role at our

North Center! SALARY: The average starting salary for this position will fall within the range of

$41,000

to

$45,000

annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide ongoing outreach and engagement. Door to door canvassing, dissemination of materials, participate in community events, meetings and other related activities. Works within contract, grant, and program requirements including meeting timelines and reporting requirements. Takes increasing responsibility for own professional development, utilizing supervision and other developmental opportunities within and outside the agency to enhance skills and understanding. Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Ability to maintain assigned community relationships. Demonstrates ability to render adequate service to clients and community partners and to organize and manage job efficiently. Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups. Strong interpersonal and time management skills. Some direct service experience preferred. Some experience facilitating workshops and trainings preferred. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma

required 2+years of case management experience

required. Bilingual in Spanish & English,

preferred, not required. Flexible hours, including some coverage on evenings and weekends and may include holidays

required. 40-hour domestic violence training,

preferred . ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks. TRANSPORTATON/TRAVEL

REQUIREMENTS: Travel between sites not required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.
