Qualified Staffing in Cartersville is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support our transportation and warehouse operations. This role will be responsible for managing communication, coordinating freight activities, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate records.
2nd shift hours: 4:00pm - 12:30am
Starting pay: $19.50 The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and ensure that shipments are managed efficiently and on time.
Primary Responsibilities Communication & Support Respond to phone calls and email requests in a timely manner, ensuring email responses within a 2-hour window. Provide support and follow-up to internal teams and external partners. Batch Printing & Documentation (30%) Oversee the printing of shipment “batches,” manage related paperwork, and facilitate the flow of documents between the warehouse and drivers. Post and update records when drivers arrive for pickups. Carrier Coordination & Tracking (10%) Ensure carriers pick up freight on time, maintaining accurate records of any missed pickups or delays. Follow up to resolve recurring issues. Pickup & Return Management (10%) Work directly with carriers to arrange outbound pickups, customer pickups, and product returns. Maintain clear scheduling and communication to ensure smooth operations. Regulatory Compliance (10%) Ensure all shipments comply with DOT regulations when tendering outbound loads to carriers. Maintain awareness of compliance standards and proper documentation. Office & Administrative Support (10%) Manage office supply inventory, organize and file bills of lading, and provide backup support to other associates as needed. Inbound Shipment & System Management (20%) Manage receipt of shipments from Geodis following each batch release. Route deliveries into customer portals not managed by Geodis, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Complete all system work in SAP 6.0. Qualifications
Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of DOT requirements is a plus. Proficiency with SAP (or similar ERP systems) preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
