X-Bow Systems is growing quickly and has a new position we are looking to fill!
As P&ID Designer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining accurate P&ID drawings that are essential for the design, construction, and operation of energetic material processing facilities at out Luling, TX campus. Tasks assigned will range from joining small teams at step #1 of clean sheet designs to updating and improving already generated documentation for released systems. You will take the lead role in defining the P&ID
template/structure,
release and revision process, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Must Have: 2+ years of directly related industry experience Associate degree or technical diploma in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field Experience in P&ID design, preferably in chemical industry Proficiency in Solidworks or other relevant CAD software. Strong understanding of P&ID symbols, conventions, and industry standards. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Demonstrated experience with common computer software such MS Outlook, Word and Excel Willing and able to work in facility with hazardous chemicals.
Good-to-Have: Hands-on mechanical aptitude Experience with instrumentation and DAQ systems Experience with fundamentals of automation and controls Familiar with basic fabrication techniques: machining, welding, etc. Experience using 3d CAD: models, drawings, BOM, etc.
