Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Your Impact You will lead finance and accounting, driving strategy, financial performance, and operational discipline alongside the CEO and President. Your role will be both strategic and hands-on—refining processes, implementing financial best practices, and delivering critical analysis that fuels our growth trajectory.
Business Growth & Leadership Assess finance and accounting team structure and needs, developing, building, mentoring and leading a team / ongoing evaluation of the finance and accounting team for needs and growth Work with the CEO and President to develop, implement and refine company financial goals, best practices for revenue and expense forecasting, tax strategies operating cash management and to identify potential process improvements to create efficiencies and cost-savings
Company Accounting Oversee all GAAP accounting, the monthly close and the preparation and analysis of the monthly financial statement and board reporting packages Manage external relationships with auditors, banks, and accounting firms including documents for annual audits Oversee tax planning, strategy, and compliance, ensuring efficiency and proactive risk mitigation Handle Company banking and vendor relationships Financial Planning & Analysis Own the FP&A function: deliver monthly financial reporting, KPI dashboards, and forward-looking models that guide executive decision-making Conduct ad hoc analysis on investment opportunities, new revenue streams, pricing strategies, and operational initiatives—providing insight into both risks and growth potential Build and refine annual budgets, lead forecasting cycles, and perform detailed variance and budget-to-actual analysis Develop and implement strategic improvements in financial operations, systems, and reporting to improve accuracy, speed, and transparency HR & Risk Management Risk management and oversight – identify risk (market & commodity risk), business transaction risk, work directly with third-party insurance companies and implement mitigating factors for internal control risks Oversee administration of Company insurances including health insurances, workers comp, liability, P&C and others Oversee outsourced Human Resources firm
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Required Skills, Experience & Culture Fit You are: GAAP and financial statement experienced - financial statement packages and board reporting Excited to grow business operations and have a proven history of working with growth-stage companies and rapid growth start ups FP&A focused – building ad hoc financial models to evaluate potential business decisions and make recommendations is your strength Urgency driven – you understand moving quickly and supporting a fast-paced and driven executive team Experienced overseeing leases, rental agreements, service contracts and other agreements that need your keen eye
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – You Might Have Experience leading or participating in a capital / equity raise or series of funding Experience in the biotech, medical technology, embryo, cattle / agricultural or related industry A CPA or CMA license Prior experience in a public accounting firm or an M&A firm
